"Although details are sketchy at this point, former Rascal Exclusive Cole Ryder died of a staph infection in his sleep.Update: Cause of death remains unknown, is pending results of an autopsy.

Wow, so it's true then. Read about it at Ashton Cruz yesterday but he hadn't found any confirmation. How sad.
Staph infection is rare in people w an adequate immunity as our normal defenses are sufficient to deal w such infections. One must think of a possible immuno-comprimised state that ryder was in, possibilty from undelrying liver disease, needle infections, or blood borne viruses
