The Past and Present of Nick Piston

How would you guys feel about watching porn if you knew the guys were H.I.V positive? I know that H.I.V is no longer a death sentence and that people with H.I.V live sometimes a more healthy life then those without it, but quite honestly is still scares the LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME! This post is about Nick Piston. He's a Hothouse exclusive and I have always been a big fan. Sometime last year I saw this documentary called, "Dancing with the Devil." It's about men that are Crystal Meth addicts and are now H.I.V positive because of it. When I saw Nick Piston on the screen, my jaw dropped. I could hardly believe it. I'd forgotten all about it, and now I see that he has made a come back to porn and is dating fellow Hothouse exclusive Johnny Gunn, whom he introduced to porn. I'm sure there is plenty of H.I.V in porn which is why the use of condoms are Mandatory...for most companies, but I wonder if it's talked about or not...or if it's a taboo thing. Also I wonder if models refuse to work with other models if they know about their positive status? Below is a clip from the documentary, "Dancing with the Devil." If the clip is no longer available, just click on the link below it.

I thought being HIV NEGATIVE is absolutely obligatory in porn and there is a big control concerning HIV in that business.
If I was HIV positive I wouldn`t work in porn. And I wouldn`t blame a guy that refuses to fuck with a HIV positve buddy on camera.

I don't know what the rules are anymore. It seems that things are getting a bit loose when it comes to H.I.V these days.

It's my understanding that most gay porn stars eventually contract HIV. Whether that's due to drug use or other "extracurricular" activities (cough*escorting*cough), I don't know, but I think most porn stars are in fact positive.

Not that it makes a big deal to me - it's not like *I'm* engaged in risky behavior with any of those guys. :-(

I don't watch bareback porn. Once I suspect that an actor is HIV positive, whether it's published or that they just appear emaciated or sick, I just can't stand watching any movie with them in it. There has to be standards set for every industry. And unfortunately, allowing HIV positive actors to actively participate in the porn industry is a big problem for all of us.

I agree, in Str8 porn if an actor test positive for HIV they are quickly blacklisted and no one works with them. I know the gay community's idea of HIV is different but the actors and the studio they work for needs to stop feeding into the stereotype about our lifestyle and HIV.

On the subject of HIV status- id rather sleep with a porn star because porn stars are more likely to be aware of their status than the average guy you meet in a bar.

Porn stars are tested a lot more regularly than guys you could meet in bars.

Also, guys who try to portray they are saints and dont sleep around are usually liars anyway.

Id rather sleep with a known 'slag'- at least you know what youre getting and you can protect yourself because you have that knowledge.

Often i hear guys on the scene say things like : 'i dont need to visit a GUM clinic for tests- i know im clean because im not slag'

or guys that have never had a HIV test in their life- simply because they think they are better than everyone else- and they have this belief that its only promiscuous slags who get diseases or use clinics.

Its guys like that , the casual one off types who dont sleep around much that are spreading
this disease....because it only takes that ONE TIME without a condom.
